The inspiration for the Minuet 3/4 series has its deep and profound roots in the refined elegance of 18th-century classical music, a period in which piano keyboards emerged as the undisputed protagonists of musical compositions, shaping the very essence of harmonic expression. Taking inspiration from the exquisite “Opera 11 in Mi Maggiore” by the renowned Italian cellist and composer Luigi Boccherini, the series meticulously focuses on the material translation of the rich and evocative sensations aroused by this masterpiece, particularly during the famous and celebrated third movement, the Minuet in 3/4 time.

The grandeur of Western Classicism, symbolized and embodied by the noble beauty of natural stone, breathes life into a MINUET that is elegantly presented in sheets. Within these, it is immediately possible to discern, at first glance, three distinct vertical columns, each composed of carefully arranged seeds in three different formats, mirroring and tracing the intricate musical grammar of the piano keys, delicately alternating between the deep richness of ebony and the luminous purity of ivory.
